We invite you to submit your application to the third annual SculptureTour Salina Exhibition, May 2014-April 2015. The Salina community has enthusiastically embraced this new program and welcomes your participation.
SculptureTour Salina actively promotes the sale of artworks in each exhibition, encouraging corporate and private purchases throughout the community. Eleven sculptures have sold from the 2011 and 2012 exhibitions including the City of Salina's purchase of the two People's Choice Award artworks. Please click here to complete your online entry. Other Media 1st Place - $1,000 2nd Place - $ 500 2014 Juror Tobias Flores Assistant Professor of Art, Fort Hays State University Toby was born in Flagstaff, Arizona in 1971 and has been interested in art since a very young age. While he was growing up his mother, father and other family members encouraged creativity in many ways. Although he did not visit a museum or gallery until he was in high school story telling, dancing, sewing, macramé and cooking were a part of everyday life. He studied printmaking, drawing and sculpture in San Diego receiving a BA from San Diego State University in 2000. He studied sculpture and blacksmithing at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale receiving a MFA in 2003. He now lives and works in Hays, Kansas with his wife, Libby and his two boys, Cooper and Oscar. He has been teaching sculpture at Fort Hays State University since 2006.
